HOW TO MAKE SLOOF

Sloof is one of the most important structures in a building because the function of the sloof is to channel pressure from other structures above it and transmit the pressure to the foundation. therefore the material used must also be in accordance with the pressure of the building you are going to build. if you are wrong in determining the material to be used, the building you will build will not last long.

Materials used
1. Semen / Cement
2. Pasir / Sand
3. Air / Water
4. Batu split / Split stone
5. Batu beton bertulang / Reinforced concrete stone ( 4 D 10 )
6. Besi beghel / Stirrup iron ( D 8 mm )
7. Papan / Board

Remember all these materials I use only for a house with one floor only. if there are two floors, use 8 d 12 mm reinforcing iron and d10 mm beghel iron. and the size of the sloof is also different, namely 30cm high and 20cm wide.

How to make the right sloof
1. Then make a ring of reinforcement using the d8 mm beghel iron, and arrange it on the 4 d 10 mm concrete reinforcement with a distance between rings of 15 cm meters. remember the size of the ring is made the same as the size of the sloof. tie the rings using wire . Tie this reinforcement with the column reinforcement that stands on the foundation

2. Make the form using a board with a height of 20cm and a width of 15cm with a length that is adjusted to the location of the foundation. for the reinforced concrete cover that you just made.

3. After everything is finished, mix the cement, sand, split stone with enough water mixture. remember the ratio is 1:2:3 or 1 cement + 2 sand + 3 splits. if it is mixed input into the formwork that you made earlier.

If you have done the steps above correctly, the sloof will last a long time
